will you actually read the article. Across the 5 major european territories the 360 is ahead. GFK is mainland europe not the UK. Chart track is UK which is an affiliate of GFK and provides them with UK figures.

In my opinion they aer still suffering from mistakes made 2-3 years ago. They never anticiapted having to cut the ps3's price so soon and as a result never foresaw how difficult it would be to make it profitable. Having said that the ps2 and psp are doing a stelar job of keeping their games division profitable...
Well i've found a few facts for you all then.
1) A troubling note for the industry - 6th generation consoles continue to outsell 7th gen consoles and show no signs of slowing. This is the first time in history a previous generation has outsold its successors.
2) Nintendo is the first company to launch 2 entirely seperate home consoles in the same generation since Atari did it in the 2nd generation.
3) Nintendo is on track to win the 6th generation...
i'd say microsoft will be happy with the gains they made towards sony this generation whilst sony have lost their lead and marketshare to nintendo.

what stopped you adding the ps2 to that comparison? No one is arguning the wii is as powerful as the ps3 or 360 but it is more powerful than the ps2. Add that to your post and it will be relevant.

yes the wii is seriously underpowered compared to the 360/ps3 but it is also much more powerful than the ps2. Even the xbox and gamecube were. Personally I don't get pissed if the graphics aren't perfect as long as the gameplay is. Are you saying that there no point in releasing gears of war 2 because it would just be gears of war 1 with slightly better graphics and a new story? Thats stupid.
